Frank P. Skinner has been a CPA since 1979. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Accounting) in 1976 from California State University, Sacramento. That same year, he passed the entire CPA exam the first time he took it. He went on to obtain his Master of Science degree in Business Administration (Accounting) from CSU Sacramento in 1980.
Professional Experience
As a CPA, Frank has a wide range of experience, having worked in both public accounting and in private industry. His career has taken him from California to Washington State to British Columbia. In 2001 he came to the North County Coastal area of San Diego, California, where he had his own accounting practice in Encinitas for twenty years. His practice is now located a little further up the coast in Carlsbad.
Beyond Taxes
Frank has a variety of personal interests outside the office. He loves music, and is a big fan of the Beatles. Whenever a new client comes into his office for the first time, don’t be surprised to hear their song “Taxman.” He also enjoys writing, traveling, coin collecting, science fiction, history and politics. Frank wrote a book titled, Setting the Record Straight: A Compleat History of the Alternate States of America which is a satirical look on US history. The book has been accepted for publication, and Frank expects it to be available sometime in 2023.
